D2Development Fund

We aim to encourage and support entrepreneurship and innovative ideas in international development, and to strengthen the LSE international development community. 

We achieve this in three main ways:

1. We run a ‘social enterprise competition’ online to find a new and exciting development project to invest in:

• Students and/or alumni from the London School of Economics Department of International Development (originally DESTIN) submit their proposals, and the best three are selected to be put to a vote online.

• The winning team receives an award of 3,000 Euros to help fund the start-up of their project

2. We raise funds for the award from the LSE international development communit, and those interested in innovative development projects.

3. We create opportunities for networking via our events and via online social networking groups.

Destineers, we particularly need your involvement:

• If you have a great idea for a new and innovative development project, we want to see your proposals!

• We need your donations and votes! Donate and vote for your favourite initiative and you’ll be contributing to the establishment of a new, exciting development project, run by your fellow Destineers.

• Come along to our networking events and award ceremonies and get involved in the discussion via our social networking groups.
